The SUSHITOS research group (Services for Ubiquitous Social and Humanistic Information Technologies and Open Source) of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya - Barcelona Tech UPC conducts research, software development, communication and  teaching activities applied to Social and Humanistic endeavors. 

Among other specific fields, SUSHITOS focuses on ICT (Information and Communication Technology) applied to Education (e-learning,mobile learning, digital contents, learning tools interoperability, learning analytics...), Heritage Information Systems, Software as a Service (SaaS) and Sustainable Development. SUSHITOS is a subgroup of GESSI Research Group (Software Engineering for Information Systems Research Group), awarded by the Catalan government funding. SUSHITOS belongs to ESSI Department (Service and Information System Engineering)
